Welcome to Trondheim

Trondheim was founded by Viking King Olav Tryggvason in AD 997 and is now Norway’s third largest city with about 200,000 inhabitants. Trondheim has a special place in Norway’s history and is beautifully situated by the fjord. With Norway’s largest university NTNU and the research organisation SINTEF, Trondheim is named «the technological capital» of Norway. It is also known as a very «walkable» city where you can experience a cosy atmosphere and a lot of culinaric restaurants. Read more about Trondheim at and
