The International Society for Gerontechnology is seeking expressions of interest from organizations or consortia interested in hosting the 14th World Conference of Gerontechnology, ISG 2024. The conference moves regularly between the Americas, Europe, and the Asia/Pacific region and typically attracts 300-400 participants. For the 2024 conference, we are accepting bids from all locations. We expect the conference will take place between May and July 2024.
Any organization can apply to host the conference, but the local organizing committee must have an interest and commitment to the field of gerontechnology whilst demonstrating the ability to host similar sized conferences.
The process consists of
two stages. At the first stage, ISG solicits the statements of interest through an open call. The statement of interest should be submitted to the Secretary-General of ISG (
secretary@gerontechnology.org) using the Application to Host form and should include: a description of the host organization and its connection with gerontechnology and a brief description of the venue and facilities that will be used to host the conference.
At the second stage, ISG will shortlist no more than three applications, who will be invited to submit a full proposal and deliver a presentation to the ISG Executive Committee via teleconference. The successful bidder will be notified before the ISG2022 conference and invited to make a presentation (via teleconference or in person at ISG2022 (
http://isg2022.org/kr/) – inviting people to the 2024 meeting.
Information about the aims and objectives of ISG and a history of prior conferences can be found at
